I made this guide because matcha content online is either overly complicated, overly aesthetic, or overly confident about things that do not actually matter. This is the version that's grounded in real use. What changes the cup. What ruins the cup. What's worth spending money on. What you can skip.

A note from me on credibility

I'm not a tea master. Everything here comes from years of making matcha consistently, trying different powders across brands and styles, working with recipes, and doing pop ups where you learn quickly what actually holds up in real kitchens with real water, real weather, and real time constraints.

The three rules that fix most matcha
